Southern North Island Wood Council CEO talks about bringing forestry to the community

Business Central interviewed Southern North Island Wood Council CEO, Erica Kinder, about her focus on outreach helping to overcome the lack of understanding in the community about what forestry is all about.

As part of their 'Share the Road' programme, a fully laden logging truck visits schools so they can get a really close look at the truck.

They also explain some of the changes that have been happening in the industry, particularly around mechanisation, so students can get a real appreciation of the career opportunities out there.
