A household name in Canterbury for 40 years, City Firewood is the leading supplier of firewood in the region. As we continue to expand our business and range of products, we need another hardworking multiskilled heavy machine operator to join the team. Your job focus will be supporting the screening and loading of firewood and byproducts onto our delivery vehicles and, the smooth flow of the production area, moving containers and other related activities driving or using heavy machinery.

Ideally you will be an experienced heavy machine operator and have an employment history of working safely on, for example, diggers/excavators, bobcats, front end loaders or other hydraulic based machinery (mobile or stationary). That said, we are open to developing someone who is motivated to learn, goal focussed and enjoys working outside in a physical job. We recognise loyalty and effort by offering training and development opportunities to staff who demonstrate a positive can-do attitude.

If you have Wheels Tracks, Forklift endorsements and or a Class 2 licence, you will be off to a head start but do get in touch if you have a strong work ethic, love driving machinery and the idea of working in a business that is committed to looking after the environment and creating zero waste.
