Pauline has been studying the Diploma in Forest Management at Toi Ohomai.

Pauline left school at 14 with no NCEA credits and drifted through different jobs. She enjoyed her chainsaw course at Toi Ohomai so much she decided to return to do her diploma. Now she’s getting ‘A+’ in her courses.

Because of the timetable, Pauline can manage her study and parenting time with four young kids at home.

Pauline won the Mary Sutherland Scholarship with the Institute of Forestry in 2017.
